Woman Charged In East Brunswick Fatal Tractor Trailer Collision

New Brunswick- Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Frank LoSacco of the East Brunswick Police Department announce that a woman has been arrested and charged for fatally striking a man with a tractor trailer.

Today, Kimberly Holmes, 39, of Port Norris, New Jersey was arrested and charged with third-degree Causing Death or Injury While Driving with a Suspended License.

At approximately 6:12 A.M., authorities responded to 19A Cottage Lane following a report of an unconscious male laying on a warehouse loading dock. Upon their arrival, authorities located Uttam Sharma, 43, of Jackson Heights, New York who was pronounced dead at the scene.

An initial investigation conducted by Detective Dennis Chieffo of the East Brunswick Police Department and Detective Mark Morris of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined Holmes, whose driver’s license had been suspended, struck the victim as she drove up to the loading dock.
